The Southern Field Days were recently held at Waimumu, just out of Gore. Donald Sutton, Shane McDonald and Graham Petrie, from the rural team attended.
The Southern Field Days are the second largest after the Nationals at Mystery Creek and had over 769 exhibitors.
Fine weather and an inaugural rugby match between the Highlanders and the Crusaders, encouraged farmers to come along and contributed to an excellent attendance figure of 42,000.
Calder Stewart had some good enquiry, with interest in woolsheds, covered yards, workshops, implement sheds and American Barns.
